What is a Living Wage?

Introduction

 
Many people,  when confronted with the reality of sweatshop wages paid to workers, you may think that these wages are ok because the people earning them live in countries where the cost of living is much lower. While it it true that the cost of living in these countries is much lower than in the US and Western Europe, the wages earned are generally far from a living wage that can support a family.
 
We have included here a series of articles that will show you clearly what a living wage is.
